Second Life Fashion from ReadMeri | Reporting for Duty

reporting for duty

In light of the current investigation which may lead to women in the UK army being able to take on more front-line roles, I felt this blog was both timely and somehow sad.

The review said, quite rightly, that the ability to fight on the front line should be determined by ability and not by gender. This means that, in theory, women should be able to join the artillery regiment in the future.

There are studies taking place to determine if we women are mentally able to deal with killing the ‘enemy’ face to face.

And this is why I’m sad. Not because I don’t think women who wish to, shouldn’t be able to fight for Queen and country, but because I think most wars are fought on the naivety and blind commitment of the young people fighting. Every loss is a huge loss, to either side, whatever the gender or religion, cause or political motivation.

What to wear in Second Life today?

Visit | The Wastelands
Pose | LUXE WS9Pose 2 Curvy (Luxe Mainstore)
Hair | [KoKoLoReS] Lyta Hair (Hairology, opened 10/1)
Boots | (r)M~(ePunk) Boots + Socks ((red)Mint Mainstore)
Coat | !APHORISM! Winchester Parka Women [5ss] (The Seasons Story – Winter, opened 10/1/16)

All seriousness about women at war aside, I was far from sad to get this Winchester Parka from !APHORISM! which is a new release for The Seasons Story. It comes in a choice of 9 colours – Black, Grey, Green, Brown, Blue, Camo Blue, Camo Brown, Camo Green & Camo Grey and in five standard sizes with a Maitreya auto-hide facility.

Men shouldn’t feel left out though! The men’s version is also available now at The Mens Dept.

KoKoLoReS have released another new hair, this time for Hairology which opened on the 10th. The Lyta hair is really funky and cool. It comes with a modifiable shaved base layer, so you can adjust the colour to suit and the hair colour HUDs are, as always, generous.

Finally, well lit, no shit for you detail people…

  1. Oh, I was to put the same comment as in your fb (<3 : ) ), but I see the news are quite serious :/ I think is better to live for your country (as you making art :3) than dying for it, actually that's dumb…
Thank you for your reflections, Meri ^_^
