Second Life Fashion from ReadMeri | Waiting for You

meow

Most people don’t know this about me, but I have a superpower. You probably think I’m bullshitting you now, but it’s true and the most amazing news of all is, you have it too – if you’d like to use it.

A long, long time ago, when I was a little girl, I had a terrible year. So many things happened during that year and I went from having an idyllic childhood which an outsider would say was perfect, to having one where we lived in a tiny house with no money, we were cold, we were sometimes hungry and I was no longer the kid who had everything. Added to that, I was bitten badly by a dog and had a ton of facial scars to contend with. And of course, I started a new school – in fact two new schools, within that year.

That was the absolute making of me, I believe in retrospect. I learned that I could make friends and be happy simply by deciding that was what would happen. I used positivity to make myself feel better and then, amazingly, it seemed to draw people to me.

I know this sounds like one of those crappy self-help litanies, but I swear, I use it to this day. I use it as a tool on SL, in real life and in my work to help me get ideas across. If you are perceived as a happy person, people are happy around you. If you are perceived as a generous person, people are more likely to share what they have with you, if you are perceived as kind, people will be kind to you. As a friend and I were discussing only the other day ‘You get what you give’ and that is solid, irrefutable fact.

Of course, there will be the occasional person who doesn’t give what they get… they’re either incapable of doing so or don’t understand the value, but perseverance sometimes wins out. If you’re unhappy with your lot in life, maybe you need to start putting out there the thing you’d most like to receive. Just a thought!

About:

Blueberry have brought out this awesome skirt named Kyla as a mainstore release and you can get it in all the bodymesh sizes plus five standard sizes. It comes with a HUD so you can change the waistband colours, leather strap colours etc. You can also choose to wear the skirt with or without straps. Cool huh? Some gorgeous colours and textures mean the fatpack has to be a serious consideration.

I picked up some really cute bits at Uber this round. The Moon. hair is adorable and I love their subtle blondes. Emery’s sweatshirts went down well in my invent also as they are perfect for those dress-down ‘just put my jeans on’ days. C’mon, doesn’t everybody have those days even in SL?

The RealEvil jewellery has been blogged before by me and is at Cosmopolitan Event, but if that is over at the time of reading, you should try (RealEvil Mainstore : RealEvil Marketplace)

Have a gorgeous midwok!

Here’s well lit, no shit so you can click it and see me huge 😀

  1. I had tough moments when child, but as you know we always get a way to be happy and to be grateful for what we have ^_^
You could be Aymara by heart, we believe in reciprocity.so I try to be kind and gentle. But if somebody want to be rude we pay in the same way. As I haven’t seen rude people here I don’t know it that would be your answer. Perhaps you would be gentle to receive gentleness. Hoping you had a wonderful Wednesday. ; )

    1. Yeah, I know what you mean Francis. Some people aren’t nice, but if you’ve tried and they don’t want to reciprocate, best cut them from your life I think. I’m big on positive energy in life 🙂

What do you think?
