Second Life Fashion from ReadMeri | Beyond the Sea

Beyond the sea

Some years ago, in a land called real life, I was going out with a complete shit of a man. We broke up, but he was still a huge pain in the arse and I was very down in the dumps. You know the baddies in horror films who keep getting up even when they’re so very obviously carrying death-inducing injuries? Yeah, he was like that.

One of my friends said she was going to cheer me up by taking me to a ‘Ladies Night’. I can cut a long story short by telling you that there were precious few ladies in that room, just female monsters, screaming and drinking, and some male strippers. I wasn’t drinking that night and I cannot imagine why, because drink was exactly what I needed. Halfway through one stripper came over to me, dunked his manhood into my diet coke without ice, swirled it around a few times and then climbed up on my chair and rubbed his wet and greasy appendage into my face. I was horrified, traumatised and wholly unimpressed. I got stripper oil in my hair!

I was delighted to leave and even though this man sussed he had not ‘made my day’ and apologised to me as I left, I still developed an aversion to strippers I’ve never recovered from.

Fast forward a few years to what was a big night for me – my 30th and also my Hen Night. A huge group of us went out for a meal before hitting the town to make merry. There was a disturbance in the corner of the family restaurant and I realised three of my friends were having a mini argument. It turned out two of them thought it would be a great idea to hire me a stripper and the third was protesting the idea with passion. Eventually they came over to ask me themselves and the stripper guy (dressed as the Officer from Officer and a Gentleman and covered in oil) wandered after them.

I said no, no stripping, I don’t like it and wtf! we’re in a family restaurant at 8pm anyway! The guy looked a bit dejected (possibly anticipating not getting paid). I felt sorry for him and asked if there was anything else he could do. He thought and then said, with renewed enthusiasm ‘I can sing a bit!’ And so he sang ‘Somewhere beyond the sea’ and gave me a kiss on the cheek, and it was lovely. We all applauded and cheered and off he went.

I wanted to show you this new piece from LFE which I love. The LFE Nia Romper comes in various textures/colours and is available from marketplace. Each pack comes with Maitreya Lara, a Belleza size (venus I reckon), a Slink size (physique I’d imagine) and 5 fitmesh sizes too. I found that even though I was wearing my Maitreya Lara, the Fitmesh M was a better fit for me, but as always, try a demo.

Reverie’s Soho Sandals make yet another appearance – I love Reverie’s Sandals most of which were done last year I think. I’m so hoping they make another pair or two this year ❤

Here’s a ‘well lit, no shit’ picture for you – click to see me huge.

And finally, a dancing video where I certainly do not strip off 😀
