Second Life Fashion from ReadMeri | Little Sparks

littlesparks

We walked out like lions short on prey and move noisily toward the game
All pride, how wide are my eyes?
Are you hungry now?
Are you hungry now?
We liked to watch the fights break out and end in grief from these cheap plastic seats
And hold each other a little closer

We’ve got a place for the night
What are you worried about?
We’ve got our answerphones
Are you hungry now?
What you hungry for?
We’ve got our alibis straight
What are you worried about?
I think I liked you more when you were worse

Black birds
And we’re back again
I caught a shock but my heart’s still beating
Stop shaking your hips at me
You could learn a little less of photography
Sure
We like to watch the fights break out and end in grief from these cheap plastic seats
And hold each other a little closer

We’ve got our friends in the city
What are you worried about?
We’ve got our alibis
Are you hungry now?
What you hungry for?
We’ve got our answer phones on
What are you worried about?
I think I liked you more when you were worse

And at the point between the rain outside hanging suspended in the air and the room around you spinning
You’ll find the time for you need it
2,500 miles apart and I never saw it clearer
We prayed for moments like this
Little sparks, little hits from someone else’s god
How hanging out of the 15th story window’s never felt so relaxing
Bring out the real fun
Turn on the real drums

So yeah… a whole song’s worth of lyrics. Salt Peppa and Spinderella by Johnny Foreigner tells an intriguing story and one which is faintly reminiscent of what I’m going to talk about today.

There’s a lot of talk about SL gossip sites lately, those places which anonymously publish stories either they sourced or memes somebody made about someone else. Although they don’t specify that the content has to be dreadful, it normally seems to pass around the block and back much more quickly if it is bad. After all, people seem to love to see others get upset and hurt.

A contact on FB decided to set up a site to specifically ask for positive, happy (and not anonymous) contributions from SL’ers so that the positives can be celebrated.

You can find it here – spread a bit of happiness eh?

Bring on the real fun, turn on the real drums.

What to wear in Second Life today?

Pose | No Longer available
Hair | Lamb. Poppy (Collabor88, til 6 Dec)
Suit | [Pumpkin] Strapped Bodysuit [Mait/3Bell/2Sli] (Kustom9)
Ring | [MANDALA] Princess Dogtag Onyx Ring (Mandala Mainstore)
Shoes | **RealEvil** Carmen Shoe [Mait/Bell/Sli/TMP] (Shiny Shabby, 20 Nov – 15 Dec)

About:

Shiny Shabby opens in a couple of days (EDIT it’s already opened, I was misinformed!) and I wanted to whet your appetite with an amuse bouche from RealEvil. The Carmen Shoes are adorable and adaptable, especially with the gorgeous rose on the heel of the shoe. The HUD allows you to change various colour parts of the shoe, so it’s like having various different pairs, PLUS, they come with ankle socks you can wear underneath. Pretty fabby huh? Put em on your list cus they’re a party for the foot, a riot for your regions.

I picked up some great things on my travels around Kustom9 and Collabor88 this time, and thought I’d show you a couple of those. The Pumpkin Strapped Bodysuit is cute and impressive in that there’s no breakthrough on those back straps when I dance. The Lamb. Poppy hair is wonderfully messy and bohemian.

Here’s a couple more pics including a ‘well lit, no shit’ shot. Click to see them larger.

Finally, here’s my jigging for the rigging. Sadly, when I did the vid, I had no idea that the blog would have this theme, so I didn’t use Johnny Foreigner as my song. Darn it. Let it be a surprise then 🙂
