Second Life Fashion from ReadMeri | Very Berry

Very Berry

Do you know what amazes me? Giraffes. I like most animals very much, but they are so astounding, so different from anything else really. They have such an elegant and gentle demeanor, such lovely long eyelashes, not to mention the length of their necks.

You’d think that they were impractical somehow, but no, they manage just fine. Or they did. They’re endangered now, thanks to us humans. They are often hunted for a trophy – their tails – apparently.

Well, you can imagine what I’d like to do to the trophy hunters 😀 Wouldn’t you?

  1. I’ve been watching a charming series – “The Secret Life of the Zoo” on Channel 4. It’s about the animals at Chester Zoo and how the keepers look after them so well. Recently, there was a birth of a giraffe, a cute fellow, who took ages to get up the courage to venture out from the indoor sleeping area to the giraffe paddock. Apparently, the youngsters run before they can walk – it’s sort of careering around really – and as they do so, the rest of the herd will follow automatically. Anyway we watched all that, it was so amusing. Now I’m upset that they are on the danger list, like so many species seem to be. Good on Chester zoo for their breeding program.

    1. Yay Moz, that sounds great. I will have to look it up. I think the ones in captivity are doing pretty well, obvs people aren’t allowed to shoot them there. People are so stupid! x
